Darrius J. McQueen was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL. As an adolescent, he was active in sports, music, and church. His athletic abilities rewarded him with numerous accolades, all-American status, and a full-ride scholarship to play Division I football at Elon University. Musically, he was just as gifted. He released his own records and enjoyed performing. He had an ear for music that complimented his talent. Not only did he love to sing, but he also found joy in playing the saxophone, piano, drums, keyboard, and guitar. Darrius was also an active member of his church and community. He was a faithful servant that would assist in any way needed. He had a heart for people and would frequently give to others without hesitation. Whether it be a helping hand, a savory meal – he was an exquisite chef, or a word of encouragement, he would freely give of himself and his time.

Stemming from his heart for people, Darrius conceptualized L.I.V.E. – Love Intentionally Value Everyone. Darrius’ journey allowed him to cross paths with people from all walks of life. In doing so, he deeply came to believe that everyone has something to offer and no one should be made to feel less than. Darrius was blessed to experience unconditional love from family that permeated the lives of those he came in contact with. The strong foundation and unconditional love instilled in him from family exuded from Darrius when he encountered people. While Darrius’ life assignment was completed in 32 short years, his legacy continues to L.I.V.E.
